Pilot Cap

Obviously, with a two-month break in blogging, I have not gotten much sewing or knitting done lately. I finished this Pilot Cap during our move back home to Philadelphia. I love these little hats. They cover the neck, ears, and head really well, keeping all the cold out. I made this one from Peace Fleece yarn, which was hand-dyed for me by a mom who traded it for some cloth diapers. :)

Hat for A

I thought I'd try to get next year's mittens and hats made before the first day of spring ... but with only 5 days to go, that is not going to happen! I got one hat done ... two more to go! He originally wanted a train on the hat, but when he saw it, he decided he liked it "plain."

The pattern is from this book: Last-Minute Knitted Gifts But there are plenty of free patterns on ravelry.com.
